Profile

Judy Quinn was born in Kenya. Educated in Tanzania and England. Emigrated to the United States in 1965. She studied photography at Project Inc., in Cambridge, MA from 1975 - 1978. Printmaking at DeCordova Museum School , Lincoln, MA 1990 - 1996. Papermaking at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston 1998 - 1999.

Co-founder of CAMERADA a critique group of 6 photographers in the Boston area and a member of Partners in Printmaking, her works have been shown in solo and group shows throughout the New England area, they have been featured in several publications. Some of her mixed media work hangs in the new US Embassy in Kenya. She taught photography in the Newton Community School program for eight years.

Judy has been traveling as an Artist in Residence to the Artist Proof Studio, in Johannesburg, South Africa from 1996 to the present day. There she and a colleague teach workshops in alternative and photographic media. She also taught with the same colleague at Northern Territory University, Darwin, Australia in 2000.
